Planning Your Painting Project as a Client

Updated: Mar 14, 2022

Having your home painted, whether painting inside or outside, can be quite a daunting experience, especially when it comes to protecting valuables etc.

The good news is that, if your painting project is planned correctly by your painting contractor, the exercise can be rather pleasant instead!

A good painting contractor will always give you a plan as to when and where each section will be prepared and painted, in most cases it is always better to start in the bedrooms earlier in the day so the paint fumes can dissipate by early evening, its important to remember that oil based paints usually take longer to dry and have more paint fumes than water based paints, so it makes more sense to paint oil based enamels first in the mornings, this allows for a decent drying time.

The above been said, if there is a lot of preparation you would need to consider plaster or rhino lite drying time, it is wise to start with the bigger repairs first as they take longer to dry.
